GERMANY. Selz, Abtei. Circa 1170-1180. Pfennig (Silver, 16 mm, 0.69 g, 5 h). Angel giving staff with a cross at the top to the abbot, star and letter S above. Rev. Two standing figures on the right give cross and ciborium to a sitting figure on the left. Nessel p. 100, -, cf. 3 vgl. (crosier instead of cross). Lightly toned and very well preserved. Virtually as struck.
